It’s been bitterly cold this week here in Minnesota. Sunday morning gave us -19° and I’m grateful our car even started to get us to church. Otherwise, we’ve been stuck indoors. When I’m not researching and writing, I’m taking a break with the kids and LEGOs. This past year, we tried fishing in the rivers,Continue reading “LEGO: An Ice Fishing Story”
I’ve been working as a secretary for a number of weeks now (or is it “Administrative Assistant”?), and I love it. Some days, though, the empty building… ©2021 E.T.
We’ve been moving around so much lately, that we’ve had the LEGOs packed away and nearly forgotten! Thankfully we dug them out, and just in time for winter. This story informs you a bit about how life is going in ol’ Minnesota. Logs and laziness. ©2021 E.T.
Is there anything more relaxing than organization? Not for me. Even if I’m sitting on a beach, I don’t want to just sit there with my thoughts while my bald scalp burns. I’d much rather gather all the shells and pile them up into types, sizes, or colors. Books are exactly the same. Oh, toContinue reading “LEGO Hobby: A Library Story”
Despite COVID, we really enjoy spending our Friday mornings out looking at garage sales. Lately we’ve been buying up whatever sporting equipment we might need. This week we picked up three frisbees and a full load of baseball gear. We’re ready for summer finally, in its final month. My son, Meshach (9), is a naturalContinue reading “LEGO Hobby: A Frisbee Story”

Thankfully, I can swim vicariously through my Lego selfie. Of course….his adventures are a little more frightening than I’ve ever experienced! ©2020 E.T.
I don’t know if I’ll ever get around to illustrating all of my hobbies in LEGO, but it sure gives us something to do on a rainy day! Truth be told, I’ve never found a fish in Utah, but I’ve seen some of the videos where people have. Absolutely fascinating. ©2020 E.T.
Like all smart people, I grew up loving the original Star Wars trilogy and collecting the toys. I sold them all when I moved to China in 2014, and that was a sad, sad day. But now I get to relive those memories through my children—and the only downside is that JarJar Blinks has beenContinue reading “LEGO Hobby: A Star Wars Story”
Continuing to mix my hobbies, I made this one for my son after a long day of, yup, metal detecting. Enjoy! ©2020 E.T.
I enjoy mixing hobbies on occasion. While playing Lego with my son, he likes me to craft him some stories. This one was today’s. ©2020 E.T.
